In the last piece of this series about the 2030 agenda goals, I would like to be optimistic even though the picture in many aspects, and many places around the world looks opposite, and repeat what all those who had the chance to step on the stage of the 2015 UN social good summit said to tell everyone:

Tell everyone that, through the Millennium Development Goals we manage to cut the number of people living on less than $1.25 by 50%,  and that we should work toward 2030 to bringing it going down to 0%.

Tell everyone that, more than half the planet is living incities and towns, and by 2030 the number will increase to be 5 billon people, yet suffering from lack of proper housing and services due to lack of strategic planning which we should put in place.

Tell everyone that, for the first time, business men left their doubt about the nonprofit world and NGOs left their doubt about the for-profit people, and all came together to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Tell everyone that, access to good health care shouldn’t be based on where you live, it should be for every human being on the planet, we all should work to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.

Tell everyone to provide education to children. It is important to help children, and girls particularly to obtain an education and help them break out of the cycle of poverty, integrate them in the international development cycle, and protect them from the cycle of violence.

Finally, tell everyone that it’s important for developing countries to get rid of their post-colonial traumatic stress syndromes and tell developed countries to get rid of their greed, to end human suffering around the globe and help raise new international leaders who can transform our planet to be a good place to live in and good to  give to the next generation. We need to create a more green, developed and prosperous world through being sincere and working hard to reach the 2030 agenda goals and overcome all of these challenges.
