Legal consulting fees can be a headache for nonprofit organizations, especially for small organizations.
Launched by Thompson Reuters in 2010, Trust Law is a global pro bono programme providing NGOs and social enterprises with free legal assistance and research.
Should you need a partnership agreement to be reviewed or need legal advice then Trust Law is your best option especially that it is free.
All you need to do is:
Step1: Create a profile on http://www.trust.org/trustlaw/.
Step2: Add the description of the project you would need help with and submit.
Step 3: You will receive a call from a TrustLaw agent who will ask you a couple of questions to refine the project description.
Step 4: Your project will be in the pool of projects for some time (can vary from a couple of days to weeks depending on the complexity of the project) then you’ll eventually receive an offer from a lawyer.
Step 5: You will be connected with a lawyer by an email TrustLow, you’ll have to get in touch with the lawyer to schedule a call to discuss the project in more details, make sure to precise the deadline but also remember that this is a pro bono service.
Step 6: Just chill, the pro bono lawyers will work on the project and will deliver in time.
