Dr. Corinna Hoerst serves as interim CEO since September 2023. Prior to joining Atlantic Corps, Corinna was Managing Director for Leadership Programs and a Senior Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF). In this capacity, she led GMF’s diverse portfolio of leadership development initiatives, created development and partnership opportunities as well as
oversaw a multinational team. Prior to this, she was Deputy Director at GMF’s Brussels Office where she was responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of a multinational team (-/+ 25), including budget oversight and program management, as well as external relations.
Before coming to GMF in 1999, she was a taught American and world history at Miami University, and worked as assistant project manager at a publishing company in Germany. to this, she worked in a publishing house for education. She co-authored Women Leading the Way in Brussels (John Harper, 2017) together with Claudia de Castro Caldeirinha and is a co-founder of The Brussels Binder, an online database of female policy experts and was its first president from 2017 – 2022. She also is a member of Women in International Security (WIIS) Brussels and served as it’s president from 2015 to 2020. Corinna has a PhD and master’s degree in history and studied at Miami University in Ohio, United States, the University of Heidelberg in Germany, and St. Andrews University in Scotland.
