Tell us about projects you have worked on?
I have recently been appointed for the position of AI & Analytics Solution Architect at Ericsson. My role is to design, develop, and deliver analytics solutions in line with stakeholder needs specially developing AI use cases for transforming telecommunications industry. Earlier I was part of multi vendor multi technology network performance management project for telco operator Jazz where I was responsible for identifying customer needs on daily basis, customer engagement, brainstorming effective radio solutions and implementation and proactively reinforcing value addition through innovative ideas.
Apart from this I am also engaged in social entrepreneurship and have led several activities for women empowerment. I started my own consulting firm AKS Consulting Space in 2020 to train entrepreneurs and professionals in leading digital transformation as the world is changing at an alarming rate with the impact of futuristic technologies and there is a need to control uncertainty by shaping the future together.
Why is it important for you to work with empowering women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics?
I am an education enthusiast from ever since I can recall. I became passionate for social entrepreneurship including gender diversity when I realized how politics, conflicts of interest, favoritism, complacency, and gender bias can create a compromising situation for those who cannot raise their voices, lack awareness, and do not have relevant support. In these uncertain times of technology revolution and economic disruption, marginalized groups are going through a difficult riddle due to lack of right leadership, strategies, and balance. I believe that empowering through education and technology has the power to turn one’s life around. Be it personal, professional or entrepreneurial space, supporting others in their struggles have always given me sense of purpose.
How has Atlas Corps contributed to your professional and personal accomplishments?
Joining Atlas Corps has proved to be one of the best experiences in my leadership journey. The kind of networking platform it has offered of social change leaders, their initiatives and achievements has given me confidence in my own mission and enhanced my leadership and strategic skills. Moreover, the support system of Atlas Corps community is beyond expectations. I could brainstorm and collaborate with culturally diverse group of people sharing experiences which helped me develop global approach to vision making and strategic thinking. This facilitated the entire process of launching my organization.
What is your favorite Atlas Corps memory?
I thoroughly enjoyed doing all the activities and electives of the Virtual Leadership Institute. However, the most exciting and happening part for me have been the module launch calls where I could meet all the Scholars from around the world as well as the Atlas Corps team. I could also experience the enthusiasm which was always contagious. Specially the orientation call with Mr. Scott Beale was truly inspiring. Also the breakout and peer coaching sessions involving diverse conversations and reflections gave me the feeling of togetherness and a sense of community which I will cherish my whole life.
What advice do you have for applicants and current Scholars?
Atlas Corps is a powerful global community and being part of it is a unique opportunity to not only grow personally but also facilitate and showcase passion projects with such valuable support and compassionate global leaders. Don’t lag behind and get thoroughly involved and stay vigilant for deadlines of assignments and take every opportunity the program provides.
What message would you like to send to individuals who support Atlas Corps?
The aim with which Atlas Corps started to develop social change leaders is truly impacting the world. For so many individuals this community and experience has proven to be life-changing. It is not only helped them develop personally or professionally but also enabled them to become change agents and address their community problems in the most effective way.
