It’s been almost three months that I have joined my host organization here at New York City, I experienced many forms of diversity. Many of NYC residents still face grass rooted social issues such as discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion or beliefs they advocate.

Partnership with Children is one of the oldest non-profit organizations in NYC to support children and vulnerable communities and help them to be trauma free by engaging them in learning and focusing on mental wellbeing provisions.

PWC established a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council, mainly aimed to highlight the social issues faced by the vulnerable communities. The council is also dedicated to provide support to students and communities through organizing educational activities, arts education, podcasts, articles. The council is strongly advocating vulnerable communities by raising their voice to end systemic racial differences and there are plenty of resources available on anti-racism.

Being part of human resources and talent management team of PWC, located in the heart of New York City (Manhattan), our organizational values, and recruitment practices are inclusive, our employees are diverse, multicultural and they all contribute in a unique way disregarding their skin color, origin, ethnic background or religious affiliation and it’s an ideal example to create a sustainable and a better world for all.

From HR perspective, DEI is a significant factor to bring the brightest, creative and skilled human capital to organizations which will enhance both organizational capacity and performance.
