🌍 Hey there, everyone! I can’t believe it’s been 3 months here in Washington, DC, for my fellowship program with the American Red Cross. The excitement I felt when I first saw the majestic White House was indescribable! πŸ›οΈπŸ’«

This journey has been a dream come true as an African young woman. I’ve always heard stories and movies about the White House and its significance, but seeing it in person was awe-inspiring. It symbolizes hope, change, and the power of democracy. Also, it is a hope that everything is achievable if you believe and work hard towards it. Also, as a Christian, it reminds me that God is still faithful and his Grace suppresses everything.πŸ—½β€οΈ

Navigating the city has been an adventure of its own! I experienced my very first ride on the Metro and buses. πŸš‡πŸšŒ Let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey! The efficiency and connectivity of the public transportation system amazed me. It felt like I was part of a bustling and diverse community on the go.

But what has truly touched my heart is the warmness and kindness of the American people. πŸ€—πŸ€ From the friendly smiles to the helpful gestures, I’ve felt so welcomed and at home. It’s a testament to the beauty of diversity and unity that this country represents.

Being here has filled me with hope and belief in more incredible things. 🌟 I see endless opportunities for growth, learning, and collaboration during my fellowship. The possibilities are limitless, and I can’t wait to seize them and positively impact them.

Thank you, Atlas Corps American Red Cross, for this incredible start to my journey. I’m ready to embrace every moment and make the most of this life-changing experience. Stay tuned for more adventures and stories from this African girl in the heart of America! πŸŒπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈΒ  #Atlascorps , #AmericaRedcross #WashingtonDCDiaries #DreamsComeTrue #FutureUnlimited
