Today, Shilton shares with us his lessons on leadership and his goals during the Atlas Corps Fellowship.
What does leadership mean to you?
Once there is vision, people will affiliate and draw towards it. Leadership is the ability to communicate the vision and harness the potential of every individual into the accomplishment of a greater cause.
How will the Atlas Corps Fellowship contribute to your growth as a global leader?
I am excited to be part of a global opportunity. It dawns on me that the skills and experience I acquired while in my home country have transferable value. It’s an encouragement to every young person that every effort to grow counts.
How will serving at The Climate Initiative contribute to your growth as a global leader?
At The Climate Initiative (TCI), I have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team that aims to measure the real impact that everyone working with TCI is making towards the organization’s GOAL. The Monitoring and Evaluation team at TCI is a strategic driving force for greater action and engagement of everyone to TCI’s objectives.
Thank you, Shilton, for sharing your leadership journey with us. We wish you and the rest of Class 49 the best of luck in the program!
