Based on Gonzales and others 2015 report, we could observe that we have a perfect correlation between GDP and Gender Inequality. Now that said, closing the Gender labor Gap could add $28 Trillion to global GDP by 2025. Also and more than that, Investing in Women pays dividends: When women earn a competitive income, they spend 90% of it on their households; food, healthcare, and education.
Challenges are multiple and studies show: Women, much more so than men, face barriers to get the financing they need to grow their businesses; and when it comes to the workplace, men earn higher salaries than women do. The good news is we can do better…
Beyond being right to Invest in Women and Gender inequality, it is the smart approach to seed and builds a generational impact. That why investing in women is an all genders challenge that required support, implication, collaboration, and engagement of Man and Women, where active listening, diversity and inclusion, and common goals are the basics.
It is not a fight or a resistance, it is the ability to unlock the potentials of every woman and girl to speak, create, learn and innovate, build a career; influence and support others. Moreover, before seeking Women In leadership, time for raising women to take the first steps and showcasing, hands in hands, women empowered…
What it is sure, no one had the perfect solution but through direct investments, gender advice and operational support, a mentoring system, safe spaces and network creation, success stories showcase… those areas could be some best practices and/or starting blocks to Investing in Women
November 30th is my Mum Birthday, and one of the best sustainable gifts that I could make for here is to serve for Women & Girls and, based on the values that she seeds on me, dedicate my humble experiences, skills, and networks to seed better future throughout empowerment, inspiration, networking, mentoring (no shadowing), acting locally and connected globally.
