HELLOW SPRING!

In Washington DC, we survived a winter with several bitter cold days. It appeared unnecessarily long but now that spring has sprung, it is long forgotten. There is something mystical about how mother nature clothes herself with seasons. I was captured by pretty flowers blooming, the theatrical dance as the wind softly blows by.

Now that spring has sprung, I was caught in reflection of an important life lesson: Seasons & Reasons! This blog post is my interpretation of seasons and what it means to bloom after life’s struggles and challenges. The winters of our lives!

Life Seasons

There are various times when our lives go through winter, when nothing makes sense and the overwhelming pressures and tension of our surrounding steals our joy. This leads to one questioning their purpose and direction, resulting in fear and panic. The winters of our lives are but only temporary. They act as validation to our ambitions. Many people during this season will face rejection and doubt. The secret to overcome is consistency, discipline and faith.

The Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 captures this perfectly; for everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to plant, and a time to reap. A time to weep, and a time laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

Life Reasons

The universe is such an intriguing space. There is a reason why many of the things happen when they do. The same way winter leads to spring, and spring to summer is the reason for your doubt that eventually leads to certainty and assurance. When the summer of your life arrives, you begin to reap that which you sowed in faith. You dance with purpose and mystical poetry is inevitable.

Back to Spring in Washington DC!!!

So, I enjoyed the cherry blossom festival with picnics and long walks around the Tidal Basin. Spending time with friends and enjoying great food was a blessed way to welcome the season. This! (a complete one-worded sentence capturing the soft-pink petals and the memories being made here)
