About Muhammad Akram
I have seven years of experience in program design and management, monitoring and evaluation, and research in nonprofit sector and rendered services for different national and international organizations. I earned Master’s degree in Sociology from Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan with distinction grades in courses and research work. My current engagement is with Center for Islam and Religious Freedom (CIRF) in Washington D.C. as Program Fellow via Atlas Corps Fellowship which is an Emerging Global Leaders Initiative (EGLI) by the U.S. State Department. Previously, I served as Manager Technical Services of Punjab Province with Marie Stopes International for DFID (UK Department for International Development) funded project and work on development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation system, development of research protocols and further survey management, analysis of services data using SPSS, STATA, NVIVO and Pivot table and ensure the program progress via Franchise Live Application. I also worked on several community development projects on Education, Interfaith Peace, Gender Justice, Governance and Disaster Relief funded by USAID, UNICEF, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), and The Asia Foundation. My volunteer engagements were with The Citizens Foundation, World Council of Religions and Dialogue Pakistan. I have published six research papers in internationally recognized journals and wrote 16 successful grant proposals to USAID, TAF, NCA, Kiva, and UNDP. I have close networking with nonprofit sector organizations with keen interest in building capacity and enhance learning for community development programs with reputed non-profit organization and agencies.
