Abida is an Atlas Corps fellow from Pakistan. She is a non-profit professional with four years of diversified experience in the developing as well as the developed world. Her expertise includes planning, monitoring, evaluation, research, report writing and knowledge management. She earns a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Peshawar in Pakistan. Abida has worked with host communities, internally dislocated people as well as with refugees, in both development and emergency contexts. Through these experiences, she has acquired strong monitoring and evaluations skills, which are applicable across different thematic areas. Currently, she is serving at Empowered Women International as Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, under the U.S States department Emerging Global Leaders Initiative. She is responsible for developing and implement the monitoring and evaluation strategy for the organization and analyzing the impact of the organization. She is passionate about women’s empowerment, economic development, refugee crisis, promotion of Civil Society Organizations, rural development as well as the promotion of transparency and accountability in the non-profit sector.
