When and how did you first learn about Atlas Corps?
It’s hard to remember that far back! I know Scott from college, and he was pretty good about using his network to share the news that he was launching a new non-profit, a “reverse Peace Corps.”
Why did you decide to support the Atlas Corps Community?
Atlas Corps melded two things about which I am passionate: international exchange and the non-profit sector. When I was in high school, I interned for the Eisenhower Fellowships, which is similar in that it is an international exchange that spans both the public and private sectors. I also worked at Peace Corps HQ for three of my four college years and believed strongly in their mission. Atlas Corps seemed like a natural extension of those experiences and interests. Plus, Scott is just so darn good at getting folx involved!
How has the Atlas Corps Community impacted you?
The opportunity to meet new people and to learn about the work they are doing continues to open my eyes to the incredible ingenuity and fortitude of humanity. Being a part of this community makes me happy and gives me hope that good will always prevail.
What message would you like to send to individuals who are thinking of supporting Atlas Corps?
