“The day we stop being curious is the day we stop evolving.”
Susan McPherson, Founder and CEO, McPherson Strategies
Today, Atlas Corps learns from Susan McPherson, a serial connector, angel investor, and corporate responsibility expert, about the value of curiosity. Susan knows she’s found the right talent when candidates ask all the right questions during the interviews because it demonstrates their propensity towards attention to detail and being conscientious, a key trait for young people who want to become social impact leaders of tomorrow.
He learned the most from the mistakes he made and by having a great team around to advise him on talent. Better listening with humility, and putting himself in the applicants’ shoes were key lessons for finding great talent. He also has some excellent advice for young talented people and a few facts about himself, including his experience working in Ukraine during another crisis!
As part of our #AtlasCorps2025 strategy process, we want to learn from leaders across the globe on how they find talent and potential in young people and share their advice with us.
Can curiosity be learned? If so, what can we do today to strengthen that skill? Watch the video below and share in the comments!
